The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government have very kindly extended the deadline for email responses to their consultations on regulating agents and adoption issues. We are grateful for this opportunity as the team have struggled with this campaign due to health and other issues. We have had stalwart support from other knowledgable HorNets, but still could have done with more time to mobilise estates.

I live on a new persimmons estate managed by Gateway. They charge 3x what it should cost to cut the grass etc and whop a huge management fee on top of that. Furthermore, the only broadband available is fibrenest. A company owned by one of persimmons directors. They charge double the going rate.
I would rather pay the council more council tax than line the pockets of theiving scum directors.

a quick look reveals persimmon have sold Fibrenest to this company https://www.bu-uk.co.uk/ who specialise in installing owning and running utilities on estates. pretty clear that they too are capitalising on the private estate model and will no doubt lobby against adoption.
FirstPort are ruining my life which being retired has not long to go. I get totally stressed when I see FirstPort in my in box. The whole system is a blight on hard working people who were not aware of they had signed up to criminal behaviour when they purchased their freehold properties.
FirstPort are shortening peoples lives, I pay £3,600 council tax which should be sufficient to upkeep the small amount of land on the development I live on, but on top of that I pay FirstPort over £600 per year, this is disgusting and must be made illegal. Remember we are paying for the upkeep of land we do not own.
We need our estate adopting by the council. Management fees are ridiculously expensive. We have two plots of grass outside our house which are not ours and in three years nobody has ever been to cut them. It has been left to us!!
