Open Letter to Matthew Pennycook

We have been campaigning against privately managed estates for over a decade now. Eight years ago we as a network of affected homebuyers and estate residents came to understand that only universal adoption (that means retro as well as pro spective) will rectify the exploitation of estate residents and the provision of sub standard infrastructure. We have lobbied numerous housing ministers since then and really hoped this one would fulfil the promise in the Labour party manifesto and subsequent kings speech and abolish privately managed public estates in favour of adoption, especially after the CMA came to the same conclusion as us following their market study. Instead the focus has been on curbing the excesses of property managers. This does absolutely nothing to remove the burden of estate management and return it to public authorities. We are tired of the lack of meaningful action, and if you are too you can sign our open letter and share with your neighbours.
